The iPod Nano as a player and basic specifications
iPod Nano 2nd Generation is essentially a music only player even though it has a screen which actually is helpful in navigation and selection of songs and various other bits. The iPod Nano 2nd Generation supports various audio formats which include, AAC (16 to 320 Kbps) Protected AAC(from iTunes Store) MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps) MP3 VBR, Audible(formats 2,3 and 4, Apple Lossless, AIFF and WAV. It also can support various photographic formats for viewing pictures which include, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, PSD (Mac only) and PNG.
