Just built a system with the Zalman and P4C800E-Deluxe yesterday...

Work of caution this sucker is HEAVY! I couldn't believe the weight of the
package when it arrived. You might want to consider the aluminum version
(CNPS7000A-AlCu) instead. This unit weighs 773 grams vs. 445 grams for the
AlCu.

The footnote (aka warning) from Zalman reads:
The maximum weight for the cooler is specified as 450g/450g/300g for socket
478/754/462 respectively. Special care should be taken when moving a
computer equipped with a cooler which exceeds the relevant weight limit.
Zalman Tech is not responsible for any damage that occurs when moving a
computer.

Needless to say I'll have to be extra careful in handling the system. I've
got a P4 and it's in a vertical position.

The instructions also contain warning about Socket 462 CPUs. Also there are
specific warnings about clearances because this is so large. It is 4 3/8"
in diameter. I've got it in an Antec Server case (PLUS1080AMG,
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=1 )
and it fits fine.

Hello!

I have p4p800 mainboard and I'm using Zalman 7000 heatsink & fan
combination on it. It fits perfectly and keeps the processor (3,0 Ghz
800 fsb) cool quietly.

I hope that helped you a bit :-)

Best Wishes, Tatu

Wonderful baby, adjustable speed but always very quiet and cooling well
enough.
Installs on P4 in 1 minute...
Go for it!

And as an additional question, will the P4C-800E, the 7000Cu and the
heatpipe coolers for the vga card by zalman or thermaltake fit together?

Thanks
Rich

I have both of those Zalman products installed on my P4C-800E Deluxe board,
fit was not a problem.

Very good. I was concerned about the clearances between the two coolers. I
know some mobos can be tight. I'm interested in conventional but quiet
cooling. That's primarily why I'd like to use that setup. I'm not quite
ready or brave enough to go water cooling. Also, cost is a factor.
