XP SP2 firewall - delay loading domain profile

I'm testing the Domain and Standard firewall profiles present in XP
SP2, as controlled by the netfw.inf configuration file.

It does seem to work (eg, loads the domain profile when I'm plugged
into the office AD-controlled network, and loads the standard profile
otherwise).

However, in testing I've found that it takes 30-60 seconds to load the
proper profile after boot-up, where you can't log into the machine -
you have to sit at the "press ctrl-alt-del" screen. If you do log in
before that, it seems to abort the detection process, and loads the
last profile used.

That delay is going to be difficult for my users to deal with - is
there any way to speed up the process?

Thanks,
Glenn
