Installed XP.

Keeps re-booting. Doesn't get as far a desktop.

Also, none of the programs that were installed show up in
the programs list.

Don't care anymore about the programs, as I have the
disks.

I've fixed the re booting problem once in safe mode, but
it's happening again and I'm lost now.

I've got the latest virus software and checked, there are
none.

I can't figure it out.... HELP!!!!!!

perhap the file ntoskrnl.exe (this is the file that holds the starup screen) is missing or corrupted. Do you have a disk? You may want to try reinstalling windowsxp

I have the disk and reinstalled it the last time that
this happened. It worked for a short time, then started
rebooting again.

Very frustrating.

Boot into Safe Mode.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the "Automatically
restart" checkbox to clear it. Then click on Apply and OK as needed
to exit.

Shut down and restart normally. Your rebooting problems should be
ended but this may be replaced by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP error
message. If so then the contents of the STOP message will be a direct
clue as to the underlying cause of the problem. Post that
information, including all of the parameter codes, back here if you
need further advice or assistance.

Good luck
