I have an common issue with having my PC crashing and
displaying on blue screen, the code: *** STOP:
0X0000000A (0X000000E8,0X00000002,0X00000001, 0X806BB896).
I have recently switched to Windows XP and noticed that I
cannot modify any of my hardware resources under Device
Manager as in WIndows2000. I think it has to do with my
AGP Video card and my USB Host Hub (8 USB ports
physically on my motherboard, which is an Intel D865PERL
P4), both seem to be set to IRQ=16 and have the same
memory locations. However, Windows XP does not show any
conflict errors with any of the hardware in my PC. I get
the system crash and message only when I'm online using
IE6 via my USB Broadband cable modem. When I'm not
online, I never have epxerienced the crash. Any ideas to
the problem, and why XP even under administrator, you
cannot modify hardware resources? The only PCI card I
have is the SoundBlaster Live, no other hardware is
installed.
