A user has created an account and added that account to
the "administrators" group. He then deleted the
administrators account.

A few months has passed, and now he is having problems
with Norton's AV automatic update. He is able to run the
update manually.

He tried re-adding the administrators account, but when he
tries it indicates that one already exists.

In the User account listing, there is no administrator
account listed.

Is there any way for him to restore the administrator
account??

The Administrator account is hidden once another account is created.

To access:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Select Administrator.
