I use a analog capture card thru s-video for 640x480. It
works OK in "video settings, other settings", but not
in "best quality(recommended)" as I get message "..video
device in use, close other applications using device". I
do not have other devices in use! How can I correct this
to capture?

I believe that the settings you are using are probably the best ones you can
use for the set-up you have. What analogue capture card do you have?
