Wireless Login Problem

I have a Windows 2000 AD and a laptop connects via a linksys wireless
router and PCMCIA card. At the moment when I log in I can tget it to
look for the network first before then setting up all the network maps.
It physically logs in and then the software activates the wireless card
and the network is found. Upon logging in though one of our critical
pieces of software needs an early connection to set up the software.
Obviously this doesnt happen and causes huge problems. Any one know of
a way it could log on to the network earlier?
