Hi,
I have directories in my program folder (eg c:\program
files) from non-installed Windows programs such as
"microsoft frontpage", "Outlook Express" (even though I've
uninstalled it via the Change or Add/Remove Window
Components option), and "netmeeting".
None of these folders actually have any files or or
installed yet winlogon.exe has a handle to their
directories which ensures that I can't delete them. I
checked this using ProcessExplorer.exe from www.
sysinternals.com
Apart from wanting to know why on earth an OS related
process enforces handles to uninstalled, irrelevant
applications :-) More importantly, how can I get rid of
those directories. I want my program files directory to be
clean and I've got it well structured apart from this mess.
Please help.
