Let me first appologize if this is not the correct
newsgroup to address this question. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. I recently acquired a computer from
a relative which is running Windows XP and I think IE 5.x.
He was given the computer from work and unfortunalte the
network administrator is no longer with the company. I
recently attempted to install a program for internet
service. Unfortunately, I received a pop up window
requesting a password. I discovered that the system
administrator had enabled IE's content advisor. the only
way to install the program was to enter a supervisor
password. When I attempted to disable the content advisor,
it again asked for a supervisor password. My question
is..."Is there any way to disable the content advisor if
you do not know what the password is and without having to
rebuild my entire disk drive?"

You can just create a new user account and a new profile and use that
instead. You can even delete the one that's protected.
