windows xp home edition to media center edition

I just recently recieved a laptop from a friend of mine that has windows xp
home edition. I also have an xbox 360 and I want to connect the two. I
understand that I need xp mce, but I can't figure out how to get it. What do
I need to do to get it to work.

I don't believe MCE is necessary. See:
