When i login to my windows XP it freezes right after entering my
password.

Before this it would boot normally but freeze while starting up MSN
messenger. After this i couldn't start any programs. I read somewhere
it could be my network drivers so I uninstalled them (intel). After i
uninstalled them (not sure if this worked as the directory is still
there) i couldn't get into windows anymore (freeze at login). The same
problem occurs when starting in safe mode with networking. I can only
boot in safe mode.

Does anybody have an idea what it could be or how to debug this? What
does windows XP do right after the login screen?

Update: windows also freezes when i enter an incorrect password, so it
does not freeze because of my profile
