Windows Xp devices and Windows Vista Devices

Will a device that states that it is supported by Xp,but says nothing about
vista(created before vista)will it be able to work on a vista based computer?

Some will, some won't. Check the device mfg's website to properly determine
Vista support.

In general you can't count on it working. There is a chance if you are
talking about Vista x86. There is zero chance if you are talking about
Vista x64.

The simple answer is "maybe". You can try accessing the
manufacturer's web site and see if they have updated drivers
for it to run in Vista. If no luck there, you can try
installing it anyway and see if the supplied drivers will
run under Vista.

By the way, it would help if you would identify the device.
