Windows Updates in XP

I keep trying to run windows update and get the error
message "Your current security settings prohibit ActiveX
controls on this page. As a result the page may not
display correctly" Now- I followed the directions to fix
it but it STILL isnt working. PLEASE??? Any Help??? Thank
