A number of things could be causing it.

1: some one may be loged on to your computer remotley.
2: you could have a lot of crap prgrams, like "Super
Duper Card Blast Gambleing" Check to see what your running
on the bottem right, beside your computer.
3: Spyware is a hot product on every ones computer these
days.
4: you computer could be out of date. Why are you using
win. 98, and posting your coments unter windows xp???
5: talking about the viruses they tend to d/l a lot of
cookies from a web site , and slowley build them selves
into a major supper duper issue. Going to "certian" sites,
can d/l attachments that enable somthing called a vpn
tunnel, and link your computer to another one. at windows
detects it, it trys to cut the conection, but these
programs basicly fight them off. (in lamens terms)
degrading system speed.

***i think if your using win. 98, your computer is probley
crap. let me guess, is it a dell, or a gateway?

*and Robert, its a post, just reply insted of acting like
a jack ass. this took me 5 min to reply, and probley took
you just the same to get a link*
