I use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer sometimes to view my pictures. I have
a 5mp digital camera and when I take pictures that size, when I view them
with WPFV and try to zoom in, it takes at least 2-3sec to zoom. Is there
anyway to speed this up? would have thought that pc was just slowbut if I
view the same file in photoshop 7 and zoom it works just fine.

Like many little extras in the operating system, Picture/Fax viewer is not
a full featured program. It's primary function is to support various folder
view options. It has a few other features tossed in for folks that don't
have other graphic software or that are happy with its performance and
results. If you have other software that does a better job for your tasks,
use that instead.
