I recently purchased a new laptop. A 3 month trial offer for Microsoft
Office Standard Edition 2003 was included. I chose not to activate this.
Instead I installed Office XP Professional 2002. I was having a word as my
email editor problems, which were solved on this site. The tech person I
hired to help recommended I remove the Office 2003 from the program list.
When I tried to do this, I could never receive or send emails. I chose to do
a system restore. Now whenver I open Outlook, I get the following popups:

"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Stan. Ed. 2003." I
can hit cancel, but I have to do so about 3 or 4 times.

If I don't choose "Cancel", I get the following error:

"Installation Error: File not found.

A required file SKU112.CAB coul not be found. Original Installation Source
Required. If you installed from a CD, please insert your CD. If you
installed...over your computer netword, please browse to the installation
source."

It gives me the option "C:\SwSetup\Off03Tri\". I can hit cancel and
everything seems to be fine.

It is not really hurting anything, but this is annoying. Any suggestions on
how to remove this?

Hi Lori,
seemes that you have some entries in the registry.
Maybe you use a reg cleaner to clean the last entries form Office 2003 out
of you Registry.
