Hello, welcome to the forum, and yes, computing at the very least, can be very frustrating.
IE "errors" are notoriously difficult to cure, we recommend you scan your system first for any "Nasties" that may cause IE to close ... you'll NEED a good anti-virus scanner, have a Firewall ON, and run at least 2 Anti-Spyware programs, such as MS's own Anti-Spyware and AD-Aware or equivalent ... and no system should be without SpywareBlaster.
Unfortunately we are going to need a bit more information about your system ... this is where you get you hands dirty and "lift the bonnet", don't worry, we won't break it.
Download, install and run Everest Home Edition it will give you ALL the information you/we need.
