Everytime right-click Start/ Explorer or Search, it open the screen. If I
click Explorer into another folder and/or search file, it prompt as below;

OR

Will there be a patch for more than 100 folders/sub-directories ASAP? I read
this somewhere in

I have TWO SATA-Hardisks each of 300GB. Presently, the folders are getting
more. So why limit ourselves to less than 100 folders?

There is no such thing as a 100 folder limit.

The actual limit, for FAT32 drives, is 65,534 directory entries which,
if long file names are used, usually works out to something in the
vicinity of 17,000 actual files and/or folders.

The cause of your problems must be something else. Are there any
additional details included on the error messages? What does Event
Viewer have listed regarding these problems?

You misinterpreted that thread. David was saying that more than 100 folders
in a root folder (directly under a drive letter) can cause Explorer to be
unwieldy.

Your messages refer to runtime errors. I suspect that the errors are not in
Explorer but in another program. Explorer - the shell that everything
operates within - is crashing because of that problematic application.

Since this seems limited to right click actions and menus, might want to
try the following troubleshooting suggestions:

Dear Sharon,

Thank you for show me the file shexview.zip downloaded from
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html. This is the first time I use this
software.

The program is good. I traced a lone problem that is the Free Download
Manager v2.1 build 487 appeared after executing shexview.exe, the name is
"FDMIECookiesBHO Class, Browser Helper Object, Disabled-Click "Yes".

The PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!! Hurray.

The window Explorer and Search is 100% working fine.

After I upgrade from IE7 beta3 to RC1, I did not realised that the IE brower
Favorites with many URL addressed added previously has disappear. The whole
folder Favorites was not in my c:\Documents and Settings\User\. Where has it
gone? !!!

So I tried another way to add new folder, and the error messages are as
below;

Favorites/Organize Favorites/New Folder
Windows Internet Explorer
An error has occurred in this dialog.
Error:59 Unspecified error
or
Favorites/Add to Favorite/New Folder/Create/Folder Name:any name/Create
Access is denied.

Then I created a New User and the IE7 RC1; can "Add to Favorites" and/or
create "New Folder". By using explore.exe, I tried copy the New User's folder
"Favorites" to the existing User, it prompted to remove the Protection
file/folder. I am confused. There was no folder "Favorites" in my Existing
User.

Please help. Thank you.

Sorry, I have not upgraded to IE7 yet so don't have any practical advice to
offer. However, I have heard that this is a problem on some setups with one
of the releases. The best I can do is to re-direct you to the Internet
Explorer newsgroups. Perhaps someone over there has discovered a workaround
or solution for this. The internetexplorer.general newsgroup is where the
IE7 questions have been getting posted. Here's a link to that newsgroup:
