Surely, I can't have been the first? I have a new HP
Pavilion ZE 4500 Notebook with a 2.4GHz Celeron. Only
Office for home installed beyond what came with it because
I need the unit for Powerpoint presentations. I was
having trouble with audio and picture timing and XP
suggested I adjust the virtual memory. I changed the
visual cache to try and enhance performance and that was
the last I heard from this machine. I have tried to
restore last good config and found that there weren't any.
I tried to repair the XP program. I tired a complete XP
reinstall over what was there and I am still plagued with
the above message along with other files. The irony being
that it suggests I try to save it elsewhere. When I
acknowlege the plethora of errors I sometimes get
operational enough to find that I have no resources.
