hi i'm having the usual problem updating my deffenitions for win defender,
i have in the past unistalled the deffenitions by typing, Msiexec /x
{A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C} in run, this usualy works but i have
recently downloaded the new build version of beta 2, and now it aint working
any more! i get an error message wich says,

this patch package could not be opened.
verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it.
or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid
windows installer patch package.

i have windows defender signatures in the add or remove list
but there is no change/remove option
also there is signature update in the list, but it says this update cannot
be removed.

any thoughts
not read of any similar problems to this.

thank you very much engel, i have now updated my defenitions
i used the windows installer clean up utility and selected windows defender
defenitions.
