If you didn't use the 98 backup utility but dragged and dropped files to the
CD, on many setups, XP cannot read the disk as it was packet written,
something XP's built in CD-writing capability does not support. If the
above is how you backed up, you need to install packet writing software such
as the Direct CD or Drag to Disk component of Easy CD Creator,
www.roxio.com
or the InCD component of Nero,
www.nero.com. Please see websites for
versions compatible with XP and for drive compatibility.
