We have a stable Windows 2003 enterprise with about 300 users. They are all
configured to untilize roaming profiles so that key user settings follow them
when moving from workstation to workstation.
For the most part this all works fine, however a couple of issues seem to
crop up consistently and despite all our troubleshooting attempts, we have
been unable to solve. If anyone has any tips, it is greatly appreciated:
1) Intermittently the users Outlook 2003 signature will disappear and they
have to reset it.
2) Intermittently the users Printer settings (i.e. tray selections, etc) are
lost and only the default (initial) settings are present.
There is little information in the event logs of the workstations to suggest
some underlying root cause. There are lots of related issues on the web to
these kinds of issues, but todate no rememdy seems to have worked for us.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
