Win2K user can't see workgroup

I'm having a problem with a Win2K user who can't join the workgroup.
I've configured his PC to be a member of the workgroup, but he is
unable to browse the network.

He is able to ping the controller (a windows NT4 machine), and if I
run nbtstat -c, it lists the group correctly along with the correct IP
address of the controller.

However, he still gets a message that the network is unavailable if he
attempts to browse. He can access the Internet without a problem.

What else should I check? Other Win2K machines with identical
configurations are working just fine.

- Netbios over TCPIP enabled?
- Is his system running a firewall?
- Are you systems running firewalls?
- Try creating a user account on one of your machines with the exact same user
name and password that he uses on his machine and see what happens.
