While installing Win XP Pro on a new system I just built
(MSI K7N2-Delta motherboard, Athlon XP 2700+, 512 kb mem,
TI4200 graphics card, Maxtor disk and Lite-On CD burner)
the setup aborts with:
Unexpected error ... asc3550.sys ... at line xxx ...
expection error (or something to that effect)
Searching Microsoft support, it seems this file relates to
a SCSI host adapter for the Advansys 3550 Ultra Wide SCSI
Host Adaptor (I don't have any SCSI devices attached)
Can I bypass loading this file during boot / setup from
the CD (no OS on Maxtor disk yet)?
