Hi Collings,
It works for me... Have you tried closing all instances of Explorer, opening Control
Panel > Folder Options, choosing the View tab, and then clicking "Reset All Folders".
Then open Explorer, set the column width, and use the "Like Current Folder" button.

: I'm using Win Explorer under Win2K. In a details view, I
: would like to set the NAME column to 300 pixels wide and
: apply it to all folders. I can set the column width but
: when I attempt to apply it to all of my folders, it
: doesn't take. I have disable the "Remember each folder's
: settings" and tried "Like Current Folder" under the folder
: options, but I can't seem to standardize the view
: setting. Is there a trick to this or is there a registry
: key I can edit to change the default?
:
: TIA..
