I'm using Win Explorer under Win2K. In a details view, I
would like to set the NAME column to 300 pixels wide and
apply it to all folders. I can set the column width but
when I attempt to apply it to all of my folders, it
doesn't take. I have disable the "Remember each folder's
settings" and tried "Like Current Folder" under the folder
options, but I can't seem to standardize the view
setting. Is there a trick to this or is there a registry
key I can edit to change the default?

Hi Collings,

It works for me... Have you tried closing all instances of Explorer, opening Control
Panel > Folder Options, choosing the View tab, and then clicking "Reset All Folders".
Then open Explorer, set the column width, and use the "Like Current Folder" button.
