Got a Windows 2000 server but I'm not sure what sort of licence we've got.

How do you tell ?

I've got a feeling that its a 5 user licence. Does this mean 5 concurrent
users ? Or 5 users total ? What happens when you add the 6th? Does it not
allow you ?

Go to admin tools, click on licensing, this will show you what you have

it shows what is installed...not what you have legally
purchased.
