Win 2000 Pro hangs half way thru the startup screen. When
I F8 it wont start in safe mode, hangs same place. I
tried repair reinstall, but it whangs at setup is
starting windows 2000 message at staus bar.

Any suggestions. PC ran fine before win 2000 windows
updates.

try ti reinstall in other directory, like C:\win2k or C:\winnt2

I am having the same problem, it is a new machine, how do
you choose another directory if you are installing from
scratch (right off the CD)?
