Wifi card problem

Hi all,

I have an old Compaq Armada 7400 notebook computer. I got a ZONET
ZEW1000WU-01 pccard for it. I installed the drivers and connected to my
SBS2003 computer. All worked fine. But then I disabled the SSID
broadcast
on my wireless access point and now the card will not connect. This
PCcard
has two LEDs, a green and orange one. The green one blinks throughout
the
session and the orange turnson when there is a connection to the LAN.

If the SSID broadcast is off, the orange (connection) LED does not turn
on,
so the notrebook does not see the LAN. I can manually connect using the
ZONET Wifi cardutility, but tisis not the way it should go. When I turn
on
the SSID broadcast, the notebook sees the LAN before W2K's logon
dialog is dispayed. I can clearly see this becasue the orange LED turns
on.

I am not sure if this is a Windows, but I thought I'd bring it up here
to see
if anyone has had a similar experience with the ZONET or other Wifi
card.

Thank you
Saga
