Which takes precedence Group Policy or Mandatory Profiles?

Hi there,
On our network we are using group policies and mandatory profiles.
Yesterday I changed the proxy settings in a group policy but all the clients
keep the proxy setting set in their mandatory profile. I know it would be
easy to change the setting on the mandatory profile but would just like to
know what is the interaction between group policies and mandatory profiles.
Which has precedence by default and if you wanted to 'force' the group
policy to take effect is that possible? We are using Windows 2000 server
with Windows 200 clients.
Thanks for your time.

Group policy would over write the madatory profile inforamation because it
is processed after the profile is loaded.

Since they are not changing was the mandatory profile setup with correct
permissions?

Since we are talking about IE policies, which by default are only processed
if there is a change detected, you could set the IE maintencance policy to
be processed at each refresh cycle.

Ok. One last question. How do you assign (if possible) the mandatory profile to an OU through GP? I can't find that setting.

Madatory profiles are not assigned through GPOs, it's like having a roaming
profile. You have to specify the location on the Profile tab of the user's
account or the Terminal Services Profile tab for terminal server profiles.
