If you're going to use an Athlon XP CPU, I'd recommend a board with the
NVidia NForce2 chipset. My experience (limited) with five NForce2 boards
(from Asus, Epox and Biostar) has been completely trouble-free. Driver
installation is a no-brainer (insert CD and let it do it's thing), a far cry
from earlier VIA chipsets.
Favorites these days seem to be the top-of-the-line Asus and Abit boards
with a 2500+ Barton, because the 2500+ seems (in most cases) to easily
overclock to 3200+ speeds.
Be sure to get good quality PC3200 or better memory, so you can run at
200MHz FSB (11x200 for 2200MHz CPU speed = XP 3200+).
