Hey all! This is my first and I don't think my last message to the board. I'v
used and tested all Windows Vista beta versions I'v gotten my hands on, and
now that the final version came out I'v postponed the final testing. Now that
the company I work for could buy computers with Windows Vista I'v ran myself
in to a situation that I just need to check if this OS is any good. Sadly to
say - I hate it.

I'm currently in a situation where I CAN NOT SCROLL DOWN THE PAGES on ANY
web browser or ANYWHERE for that matter.... If I try to use the wheel on my
mouse(s) (logitech mx1000, mx900 - wireless & USB, and a PS2 ported basic
logitech wheel mouse with a cord).... If I can't even scroll down with the
keyboard or do anything actually.

The scroll bars / menus move back to the top of the selection or way down on
the selection.... This is irritating. I didn't have this kind issues on ANY
beta version.

I'v installed Logitech SetPoint software - didn't help I'v tried checking
the mouse settings from control panel - mouse -> nothing helps.. I can't even
choose to use 3D White Mouse pointer cause of the damn interface goes WAY
down or WAY up.

Hard to explain.... I could install a software to record my screen and post
the file to my website...

I got a AMD 3700+ and Sapphire Radeon X 1800 XT - Using ATI 7.4 Catalyst
(should be newest)

If I try to scroll down in the form for example and have my mouse cursor at
within the form area - the scroll bar gets reseted back way up. If I move the
mouse cursor out of the form box -> I can scroll down by using the keyboards
arrow keys.

have you tried using a regular plug in type mouse/keyboard to eliminate problems with the wireless/usb ones and their drivers.

Yes.... Like I said, I'v tried using normal mouse & keyboard... These
problems didn't excist in Beta releases...
Now I have managed to get the scrolling few times to work (for like few
minutes) by installing Vista Codec pack over and over again... I don't know
what else to do...

Sometimes the browser window keeps jumping up and down even when there is no
scroll bar and you can not scroll anywhere... Really weird...

Hi again!...

Now I disconnected _ALL_ USB devices from the computer - Including bluetooth
adapters / mouses / keyboard / webcams - EVERYTHING - Connected an OLD Dell
PS2 keyboard and an OLD Microsoft PS2 IntelliMouse 1.1 and NOW everything
works fine... So the problem is with Vista <-> USB devices? Even when using
latest drivers for the devices in use?

Hey again!

I plugged in a Logitech USB keyboard and a Logitech USB mouse.
Pretty standard stuff both of em.

Everything seems to be working OK.

I also tested to plug in the MX 1000 mouse.

Everything works Ok.

The problem seems to be in the bluetooth system by Logitech
since my keyboard is "Logitech Elite Keyboard Bluetooth" and my second
mouse is "Logitech MX900 Bluetooth"...

And using SetPoint 3.30 BT software to control them.
I had the problem before I even installed the SetPoint software.

Maybe I just should wait for Vista SP2 and new logitech drivers
for the BT system... So many little bugs that are irritating the system
still has.
