Weird compilation error: Cannot declare a namespace and a type both named 'a'

I get this weird compilation error:

Cannot declare a namespace and a type both named 'a'

but I do not have in my projects a namespace or a type named 'a'

If I am running an asp.net application, restarting IIS makes the error
disappear but only until the next compile.

Does anybody know what causes this ?

Thanks,

Simon
