want A4 paper layout - getting Letter size, but all settings set t

I have tried every setting in word and excel and on the epson printer i have
- they all show A4 and the print preview looks as if it's A4 and layout is
okay - but it prints with a large margin at the bottom - something like a
Letter papersize. The printer setting also show A4 - Help
