Hi,

I am getting error 0x800F0823 when using Windows System Image Manager. This
happens when the .WIM is being cataloged. At first it gave an error about the
WIMGAPI.DLL which could not be found. When I copied this file to the System32
folder this error comes up:

I'm getting this as well and frankly it totally hacks me off.
Documentation lists everything as being as simple as creating the
catalog only to find out that a bizarre and so far totally obscure
error message gets through out.

I have located documentation regarding Updating the Service Stack.
Sounds good where / how. It lists Vista SP1 as being the update. I
am loading the install.wim file straight from our Volume licenses
provided Windows Vista Business with SP1.

here are the links i've been able to locate:

http://technet2.microsoft.com/Window...f44751033.mspx
http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=938371
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=937287

Not sure if this will help anyone or not but any help or solutions
anyone has would be appreciated.

Hello,
Are you using the updated Windows AIK?
You may get this error message if the Windows AIK is from Vista RTM and you
are using an SP1 image to capture
Thanks,
