W2k/XP Pro P2P Network problem

Hi all,

I've seen lots of posts from folks whose W2k machines cannot seem to
find XP, but I'm having almost the exact opposite problem. Here is the
scenario:

Machine one:
Win 2k Pro, SP4
Serves as dial up gateway to internet

Machine two:
Win XP Pro, Version 2002 (not sure what SP, sorry!)
Connects to internet just fine through ICS

These two are connected via a Cat5e crossover cable.

Both machines have the same user name and password for their accounts. All
sharing is turned on and set to give full access.

Machine one (W2k) can see Machine two (XP) just fine. I can access anything
for which sharing is turned on, etc. However, the reverse is not true. The
XP machine can "see" the W2k machine, but when I click on the icon to open
up the W2k machine from the XP I get the following error:

//ComputerName is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find
out if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
this computer.

Does anyone have any ideas?

TIA,
Paul

As you could probably already imagine, they are the same. Hence the reason
the Win2k machine has no problem accessing the XP machine.
