W2K reinstall keeps restarting

I am trying to reinstall W2K on a machine on which it was
previously installed. I reformatted the harddrive, NTFS
as it was before, and am attempting to reinstall W2K.
Everytime it gets to the Components, it reboots the
machine and restarts the installation. I tried
disconnecting from the network and NOT loading any network
components, but it made no difference. I have now sat
through the restarting of the reinstall 10 times and am
getting sick and tired of re-entering the damn key code.
Why won't it reinstall?

What kind of drives are you using? You may have to specify the correct
driver during setup if they are SCSI.

They are not SCSI. I have reinstalled the O/S on this
machine before with no problem. Someone else suggested
that there may be something physically wrong with the
installation disk - in which case I am royally up the
creek. I am trying one more time... deleted existing
partition, created new NTFS partition, formatting said
partition, and attempting another clean install of
W2KPro. Will make specific note of where the unwanted
reboot occurs and post here when and if it happens again.

Have still had no success. Windows restarts the computer
*and* the install when it gets to Distributed Translation
Coordinator. I have removed all extraneous cards from the
computer and made certain that all memory and cables are
properly seated.

I have even tried to Repair the installation, but the
results are always the same. When it gets to Distributed
Translation Coordinator.

I'm going to shoot something now.
