W2k Pro system rebooting on shutdown since patched with SP4

Ever since installing the "non-removeable" SP4, my pc will
NOT shut down - it reboots every time!! Heard a whisper
on the net about this being a "bug" associated with SP4,
but I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base. Does
anyone have an idea if this is fixable w/o waiting for a
new patch?
