I've got one w2k machine on a LAN that can ping and telnet by IP
number but any use of dns names fails. This is a DHCP machine and
it's getting the same DNS server IP #s that the other machines are.

The DNS server is upstream and we have a linksys soho router .

All the other machines work fine.

The event log doesn't have any error that apply.

Any suggestions ?

First of all, can you ping the DNS server? When you try an nslookup, what is
the message? Does name resolution fail for hostname as well as for FQDN?
