Vuescan Option Window text box sizes

Does anyone know how to increase the text box size for setting options
in Vuescan. Example: I have my scan dpi set to 2400, but in the box, I
can only see 2 and then part of the 4. It is very difficult to
highlight, read or change the whole number, even though it is there.
It's the same with the file name boxes, and esp. annoying in the text
boxes at the bottom of the preferences tab. I've tried changing many
settings, but nothing seems to change this.

Thanks!

Do you have your OS set up with some language other than English as the
default language for programs that don't do Unicode?

You are describing what happens when, for example, (US English) Windows XP
is set up to work with Japanese-only programs and you run an English-only
program.

When I still used VS there was - in version 8.2.25 - in the Prefs tab an entry
for 'Option panel width'. In my case set to 280, and all boxes were
sufficiently wide to show all numbers completely/ If in your case the width is
too small, you may run into difficulties. Try this!

Greetings, Alex

Language is American English. Option panel widths don't make a
difference in the text box sizes (at least not on my win2000 machine) ;
they just allow more room around them.

This only started happening in the past year of regular updating. I was
hoping there might be a specific ini file setting that I could tweak.

And under Prefs | Font size (pt); what is your setting?
Do you remove/rename the 'vuescan.ini' when you upgrade?

Tada! -- Font size, plain and simple. That fixed it. (I should have
figured it out!)

Thanks, Bart!
