we are running W3K AD, we have a VPN setup to CompanyB, we setup a
foward lookup zone for this companyB, they are using Postini for
there
email and we need to point an internal record to one of those servers
for email to flow to companyb. I try to add an "A" record, but it
will
not let me put in the FQDN of companyb.s7a2.psmtp.com. how can I put
in a record for email to flow out of our network for this zone?

Rick

Hello Rick,

Did you try to configure a MX record for the mail server in the remote site?

Best regards

The way you add a single record to get a FQDN is by creating a new Forward
lookup zone for the FQDN (companyb.s7a2.psmtp.com.), then add a new host "A"
record to the zone, leave the name field blank and give it the IP it needs
to resolve to.

Hope This Helps
