I have installed Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition.

I want to create an aspx web application. There does not seem a web
application project type listed!

Am I missing something?

Do you see "Create Project... | Web Site..." in your recent projects
window?
Select "Web Site...".

Create Project - Web Site does not appear in the New Project types dialog.

Only Windows Application; Console Application; Class Library; and Windows
Control Library...

I found it - call off the dogs.

Use menu File/New/Web Site...
