Send a powerful message to Microsoft that you will not tolerate
trash products of "beta" quality = vista

Return your copy of vista and ask for a refund now.
If it came preinstalled with your PC, demand the ventor to change it to XP,
Just as you should demand a replacement if a hardware was malfunctioning,
the same applies to the OS.

thank you

No offence, but I personally like vista better then XP. With the added security features, it keeps my children safe and allows them to go to bed at a decent hour. I don't use to many old programs, so I have not had the issues others have had. The wife and I really like the search features. Makes finding things a lot easier.

With that in mind, I think I will keep my copy of Vista Ultimate.

No offense, but how does Vista allow your children to go to bed at a
decent hour?

Also, don't be fooled into thinking that Vista is safe. No OS is
completely safe. Vendors aren't writing security programs for Vista just
to kill time.

You haven't used Vista at all have you? In Ultimate, the parental
controls allow you to set when a user account can use the PC.

No, they're writing them to take advantage of the stupid.

And then Vista puts the kids to bed? Does it also give them a bath?

LOL! Even the free ones like Avast! and AVG? Are you saying that
Microsoft included Defender with Vista just to waste your time and the
One Care is not for Vista but just to get your money?

Are you also saying you use no third party firewall and have no anti
virus on your Vista machines?

Caveat Emptor.

When MS has never released an OS that worked 'out of the box' why did you
think this one would be different?

If you need help for how to get your OEM to take vista back, see these
links:

http://www.netcraft.com.au/geoffrey/toshiba.html
http://www.networkworld.com/news/200...l-windows.html

Also, I hope Dell has changed it's policy on taking returns for OEM
preinstalled windows because I believe it states in the Vista OEM EULA
that OEMs are required to take returns:

http://www.linuxworld.com/news/2006/...ws-refund.html

Good luck all!
