Computer 1 desktop hard wired to syslink hub, has vista
Computer 2 laptop wireless to syslink hub, has vista
Computer 3 desktop hard wire to syslink hub, has XP.
#1 sees all and has access to #2 & #3, can ping to both.
#2 sees all and can only access #3, can ping #3 not #1 IP or name
#3 sees all and can only access #2, can ping #2 not #1 IP or name
Previous to vista update all had XP and networked great. All have same
workgroup name. #1 has files set to share. Get the error message on #2 and
#3 when trying to access #1: “\\xxxxx not accessible. You may not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this
server to find out if you have access permissions.”
#1 running windows firewall and one care.
Anyone please help!

I suspect that the OneCare firewall on #1 is blocking access from the
other computers. Check in Windows Security Center and see if it says
that more than one firewall is enabled. If so, that's likely to cause
problems.

Yes that did it. I had to shut down OneCare firewall and turn on the windows
firewall. Does windows firewall offer the same protection OneCare does. Is
there a way to set permissions in OneCare to only let in the authorized?
Thanks, been battleing this for several days.

You're welcome. I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the OneCare
firewall. Here's a web forum for it:
