Vista Mail - Contacts Quirk

(Background: I have two computer systems side-by-side; one is Windows
2000/Pro, running fine for years, and the other is Vista Ultimate, running
fine for days. I have converted the Vista computer to the Classic mode, to
make it appear as similar to the Windows 2000/Pro as possible.)

Question: Can the underscore symbol ( _ ) that appears in the contacts list
when the slash symbol ( / ) is typed be changed to the slash symbol?

On my W-2000/Pro system, I could enter an address using a slash, such as
"Bob/Carol Smith" and it would show up that way in the address/contact list.
When I imported that address list to Vista the slashes were changed to
underscores, as in "Bob_Carol Smith". New entries, entered using the slash
appear in the list with the underscore. Even stranger, when I create a new
email, and use the contact list to add the addresses, then the contacts are
listed using the slashes, as in "Bob/Carol Smith"

Best regards to all.

Vista's Contacts will have a problem with slashes in the name field.
In Vista, each contact is saved as a separate file, so the name field
must obey the file naming conventions.
