What does it take to get Vista to back-up to tape? And why on earth would
Microsoft break this??
Vista Ultimate 32Bit.
Sony AIT-1 Turbo tape drive.

Drivers installed, drive can be found in the device manager.

Frustrating!!

More information:

I know this is apples and oranges, but....

I have vista business in a virtual environment on my work PC (VirtualPC
2007). In Vista busines I located the Removable storage management feature.
But on my Vista Ultimate (HOME), that feature is not available through the
control panel applet.

My question is this. Is this what I need to enable to allow a back-up to
tape? if so, how would I enable this in Ultimate? It was my understanding
that Ultimate had all of the same features of business, and then some.

I prefer to use Windows Back-up for now until I can save for a Vista
compatible back-up program.
