viewing smooth fonts on my monitor

I used to be able to see my fonts and theyw ould be smoot
(antialias) around the edges. Now they are not. Can
anyone help me in figuring out what I nned to do? Is it
an issue with the monitor? A driver? What? Thanks!

R-click on Desktop, Properties, Effects, Put a check in "Smooth
Edges.........."
