Me and my collegue both have Powerpoint, but when I open a file I can see the slide miniatures on the left portion of the screen in normal view and flip to outline with a tab, while he only can see the outline view, and only see the miniatures in the slide sorter. Any help?

Are you running PPT 2002 or higher and he running PPT 2000?
That would explain it.

You have different versions of the program. The tabbed interface is a newer
version than the untabbed one.
