Vertical lines through the minimize,maximixe & close buttons

's Computer Specifications

I occasionally get the above ( on a random basis),which
invariably disappear when I reboot.Sometimes,too, the mish-
mash appears elsewhere on the screen. Again a reboot fixes
it ( for a while). Is this a problem with my graphics
card (3D Blaster Riva TNT Ultra 2) or ....? Would like
help in curing problem. Thanks.

Try updating the video driver from vendors site.

's Computer Specifications

I would suspect the driver to be the issue. Get a fresh release from
Creative Labs. The "automatic" ones that get forwarded to MS for the
"update system" can sometimes really hose your system.
