Verbose logon/logoff messages

I'm having a problem with logoffs, and per KB 316243 I set
the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\sys
tem\VerboseStatus key. I also went through Group Policy
to set verbose messages. But where are these verbose
messages supposed to be logged? Nothing unusual (nothing
at all, in fact, at logon/logoff time) is showing up in my
system or application log. Anybody know what I can do to
get verbose logging to work?

Thanks!

I think the computer just displays more information on its screen as it's
starting instead of logging more. You'll notice that when you are logging in
that it will say more thinks like "playing logon sound", and "applying
internet explorer maintanence settings".
